Joë Christophe
Born in a small village in the North of France, Joë Christophe discovered music at a very young age thanks to a free of charge music school and the wind band that lent him his first instrument. He quickly managed to become one of the best clarinetists of his generation by entering the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris and winning numerous competitions and auditions during his studies. His prizes include winning 1st Prize at the 2019 Cluj International Competition and the ARD competition in Munich, launching his solo career internationally. He has performed at prestigious venues like the Philharmonie de Paris, Wiener Musikverein, and Tokyo Opera City Hall, and with leading orchestras including the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin. A chamber musician featured in festivals and programs like Stars von Morgen and Debüt im Deutschlandfunk Kultur, Joë was nominated in 2023 as an 'Instrumental Soloist Revelation' at the Victoires de la Musique Classique. His debut CD Idylle showcases French and English repertoire for clarinet and piano. He is an ambassador for Henri Selmer Paris and supported by the Banque Populaire Foundation since 2022.
